I remember a time when I used to pray for tears, just to let me know that my heart was still pumping, that I was still feeling and that I was alive. I was very emotional. It didn't take much to get me emotionally charged, but tears and fears don't quite go w/ street life. You must grow a tough skin and suck it up. When I pray for something I don't pray frivolously- I know what I ask for and know that I don't know how it will come,
but I await its arrival and look for it at every turn. When it comes, I've learned to be mindful of that for which I have prayed.
